Why, hello there.
You're looking nice today.

Over a decade of music experience at your command.

My first experiences doing music services for-hire were arranging music for local bands' horn sections as well as backing track production for choral shows, both in high school from 1994-1998 in Ohio. I also provided background entertainment for-hire, playing piano at too numerous an amount of private and public events to count, where I would happily take requests for songs from guests and clientele; if I'd heard the song, I could usually noodle it out on the keyboard.

My backing track production, general production, mixing and arranging services continued to be in-demand when I moved to the Dallas-Fort area in 2001.

Things really picked up when I moved to New York City to be with my future wife in early 2006, and here we are.

Working with me

I aim to delight, to please, and to put at ease. I try to be like the expert mechanic, or the calm pilot, or the collected surgeon. I'll work with you on pricing and deliverables and any required milestones. I believe in the pleasure of good music and the honesty of a job well done for a fair price alongside reasonable people.

Be my next satisfied customer.

Here are some things that folks I've worked for or with kindly said about me on Yelp since my Yelp page went up:

[Greg is] not only a talent I've had the pleasure of knowing throughout my life but he also was the organist in my wedding... and amazing he was! I would [...] absolutely recommend that if you are considering working with Greg please leave your worries at the door and plan to be amazed.

I had a backing track recording [...] I needed in a different key for a demo I wanted to record. A mutual friend recommended Greg to me and told me Greg's kind of a "secret weapon" for some other people. I got in touch with him [...] and I decided to work with him. One word: WOW!

In a bind, I contacted Greg to transcribe an obscure 60s pop song on the fly. He was professional, kind and efficient. [...] I will use his services again.

Greg [...] has arranged multiple songs for my band and never ceases to amaze.

Personal

I'm married to the lovely Jen Arvay. Together, we started The New York Holiday Singers in 2009 as well as The Holiday Choristers in 2011. We love New York City and can't at present imagine leaving.

My day job is as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of VerveLife, a Chicago-based digital media & music agency, where our clients include LiveNation, DMX, Roqbot, IMVU, and many more. Straddling this gap between music and technology, all the while being a working musician & music service provider, gives me a unique insight into the industry that I love to share.

Besides VerveLife, Greg Kefalas Music Services, my solo-act alter-ego Luquado, other work I do for friends, the New York Holiday Singers and The Holiday Choristers -- as if I needed more to do -- I roast my own coffee, am an official member of the New York City Browns Backers (woof woof woof!), love craft beer & cigars and have an obsession with many things Apple.
